Ride1Up Revv1 Review: From HT to FS to DRT to EVO, We’ve Been Testing the Entire Lineup for Years
The Ride1Up Revv1 isn’t just another moped-style eBike anymore.
At this point it’s become one of the most recognizable bikes in the category, and after reviewing nearly every version over the last few years, we’ve watched it evolve from a really good value-focused ride into one of the strongest complete lineups available.
We’ve spent time with the HT, FS, DRT, and soon the all-new EVO, and one thing has remained consistent throughout all those versions:
The Revv1 keeps giving riders more bike than they expect for the money.
That’s a huge reason it’s previously earned our Best Value Moped Style eBike recommendation.
And now Ride1Up may be delivering its most interesting version yet.
The new Revv1 EVO introduces semi-solid-state battery technology into the moped eBike world, and if the real-world results match the promises, this may be more than just another refresh. It may be the next direction the category starts moving toward and we CAN’T WAIT to get our hands on one for testing.

Looking at the numbers, you can start seeing why we’ve repeatedly gone back to the Revv1 lineup over the years.
The HT remains one of the strongest value plays in the category.
The FS dramatically improves comfort.
The DRT becomes the dirt-focused do it all machine.
And now the EVO may be introducing the tech biggest leap yet, which could really matter if you’re someone that finds themselves needing to recharge often.
Revv1 HT: The One That Started Everything

The HT established the formula.
Aggressive moto styling. Fat tires. Strong acceleration. Hydraulic brakes. Large battery. Pricing that undercut much of the competition.
Key Specs
- MSRP: $1,795
- Motor: 750W Bafang
- Battery: 52V 15Ah (780Wh)
- Top speed: 28+ mph unlocked
- Weight: 83 lbs
- Torque: 95–100Nm
- Tires: Kenda Krusade 20×4
- Brakes: Hydraulic 4-piston
The HT quickly became one of our easiest recommendations for riders wanting moped-bike styling without blowing through their budget.
Revv1 FS: More Comfort, More Bike

The FS kept the same formula and added full suspension.
That sounds simple, but it changed the personality of the bike.
Instead of feeling like a street-focused machine, the FS became dramatically more versatile.
Key Specs
- MSRP: $2,245
- Motor: 750W Bafang
- Battery: 52V 20Ah (1040Wh)
- Top speed: 28+ mph
- Weight: 93 lbs
- Front Suspension: 120mm Dual Crown
- Rear Shock: Adjustable DNM
The larger battery and improved suspension made the bike feel substantially more premium than its price suggests.
Revv1 DRT: The Super73 Face-off

Then Ride1Up released the DRT.
Ride1Up essentially looked at the FS and asked:
“What if we made this thing want dirt?”
The result wasn’t subtle.
Key Specs
- MSRP: $2,595
- Motor: 750W–1000W configuration
- Battery: 52V 20Ah (1040Wh)
- Top speed: 28+ mph
- Weight: 91 lbs
- Suspension: 150mm Dual Crown + Rear Suspension
- Tires: Off-road specific 20×4
Then we put it against Super73.
And honestly, things got ugly pretty quickly.
The Revv1 DRT pulled harder, delivered stronger value, had a larger battery, and simply felt like more bike for the money.

Now Comes the EVO

Normally manufacturers launch new versions and you get:
- New graphics
- Slight component changes
- Fresh marketing language
The EVO feels different.
Ride1Up introduced one of the first production semi-solid-state battery systems we’ve seen in a moped-style eBike. Everyone can appreciate a longer lasting, more robust battery. But for anyone doing deliveries or that has a huge commute, that 2-hour full recharge time could be a total game changer.
Revv1 EVO Key Specs
- MSRP: $2,395
- Motor: 750W Bafang
- Torque: 100Nm
- Battery: 52V 20Ah Semi-Solid-State (~1040Wh)
- Top speed: 28+ mph
- Weight: ~95 lbs
- Range: Up to 60 miles
- Charge Time: ~2 hours
- 52V 9A Charger!
- Suspension:
- 160mm dual crown fork
- Rear coil suspension
Why The Battery Actually Matters
Battery marketing usually goes:
“Now with more range (and weight!)”
This one actually gets interesting.
Ride1Up says the new battery system can potentially provide:
- Faster charging
- Better temperature resistance
- Longer cycle life
- Better durability
- Better energy density
Charging roughly 1000Wh in around two hours is genuinely impressive for this category and could be a difference maker for anyone that finds themselves charging their eBike often.

Why We Keep Recommending The Revv1
After years of testing multiple versions, the thing that keeps standing out isn’t one individual number.
It’s value.
Ride1Up consistently manages to deliver:
- Large batteries
- Strong acceleration
- Hydraulic brakes
- Full suspension options
- Aggressive styling
- Better-than-expected components
- Competitive pricing
without forcing buyers into dramatically more expensive categories.
That’s why it’s repeatedly landed on RiderGuide recommendation lists.
That’s why it previously won our Best Value Moped Style eBike category.
And the EVO might end up becoming the most interesting Revv1 yet.
