Maxfun 10 MAX Electric Scooter Review: Tested & Approved by ESG

Summary

The Maxfun 10 MAX is a 72V, dual-motor electric scooter that instantly grabbed our attention—no small feat when you’ve tested more than 160 scooters. On paper, it’s an enthusiast’s dream: a removable Samsung 72V 35Ah battery, Magura MT5e hydraulic brakes, PMT Italian racing tires, EXA Form hydraulic shocks, and two 40A sine wave controllers. In our tests, it rocketed from 0 to 15 mph in 1.87 seconds and reached a verified 51.5 mph top speed. It also stopped from 15 mph in just 1.25 seconds, giving it some of the best braking performance we’ve seen. Hill climbs were a breeze, and though our aggressive riding produced a 31.83-mile range, the power delivery remained strong until the last bar of battery

From its rock-solid build quality to its premium components, the Maxfun 10 MAX is undeniably built by people who understand high-performance riding. We love that you get top-shelf parts (like Magura brakes and PMT tires) without having to pay $4K or more, especially with the Kickstarter “Super Early Bird” pricing. It’s heavy at around 115 lbs and not the most portable, but if you’re after serious speed, excellent hill-climbing, and responsive braking, this scooter delivers. Just remember to install the included steering damper if you plan on pushing beyond 40 mph, and keep in mind that the final battery bar doesn’t give much warning before it’s lights out.
