Ausom L2 Max Review: A 40 MPH Dual Motor Electric Scooter Under $1,000
Summary
After testing more than 200 electric scooters, it’s rare to find one that delivers both real performance and real value—but the Ausom L2 Max surprised me. With dual 1,000W motors, it pushes up to 40–41 mph while staying under $1,000, something almost unheard of in this price class. Acceleration is smooth and consistent rather than jerky, suspension is adjustable front and rear, and braking performance is strong with snappy mechanical discs. On my tests, I was able to hit 20 miles of range riding hard at full speed, and the scooter remained impressively stable even at its top end.

Of course, it’s not without quirks. The headlight is bright but mounted too low for serious night riding, the turn signals are practically useless, and the battery gauge tends to jump around under heavy load. Still, those are small trade-offs considering the overall ride quality. If you’re looking for a scooter that feels balanced, comfortable, and genuinely powerful without breaking the bank, the Ausom L2 Max is one of the best sub-$1,000 dual-motor scooters I’ve tested to date.
