Teverun took its hyper-scooter know-how and built a commuter, and the headline is a roughly 936Wh battery for $849.

Teverun made its name on heavy, fast hyper-scooters like the Fighter line. The Space Lite is the opposite end of the catalog: a single-motor commuter meant to be affordable and easy to live with. The twist is the battery. You get a roughly 936Wh pack for $849, which is a lot more capacity than most budget scooters carry. We have not ridden it on our own loop yet, so here is what stands out from the claimed specs and the early third-party coverage.

Space Lite Overview: What Is It

The Space Lite is the budget anchor of Teverun’s Space series. It sits below the standard Space, which uses the same roughly 936Wh battery but adds dual motors and hydraulic brakes. The Lite trims down to one 800W rear hub motor and dual mechanical disc brakes to hit its price. What it keeps is the stuff commuters actually use every day: front and rear spring suspension, 10 by 3 inch tubeless tires, an IPX6 water resistance rating, a 3 inch LCD with NFC unlock, the Teverun App, one-click folding, and a full lighting kit that includes turn signals.

Claimed Specs and Price

Everything below is manufacturer-claimed unless we say otherwise. We have not put this scooter on our scale or through our range loop yet. One note on the battery: Teverun does not publish the cell brand, and the roughly 936Wh figure is calculated from the 52V by 18Ah pack, not a spec Teverun prints directly.

At $849 on sale, down from a $998 MSRP, the Space Lite lands in the crowded budget-commuter bracket. The pitch is simple: you are buying way more battery than the price usually gets you, and you are giving up top speed and hydraulic brakes to do it.

Motor and Performance

One 800W rear hub motor drives the Space Lite, with a 1,200W claimed peak and a sinewave 21A controller that should keep power delivery smooth rather than jerky. Teverun claims a 28 mph top speed. That is quick enough for a single-motor commuter and plenty for city streets, but it is nowhere near what Teverun’s dual-motor scooters do. This is a get-to-work machine, not a thrill ride.

Braking is where the Lite shows its budget roots. You get dual mechanical disc brakes, not the hydraulic setup on the standard Space and the Fighter scooters. Mechanical discs work fine at commuter speeds, but they need more lever effort and more upkeep than hydraulics. Front and rear spring suspension plus 10 by 3 inch tubeless tires should smooth out rough pavement, which matters more on a daily rider than any spec sheet suggests.

Battery and Claimed Range

The battery is the reason to look at this scooter. It is a 52V 18Ah pack, which works out to roughly 936Wh. That is a big battery for $849, and it is the same capacity Teverun puts in the pricier standard Space. Teverun does not disclose the cell brand, and we calculated the watt-hour figure from the voltage and amp-hour numbers, so treat it as a claim rather than a tested spec.

Teverun claims up to 37 miles of range. Based on that pack size and typical single-motor efficiency, a 165 lb rider should realistically see somewhere around 30 to 34 miles, with less if you ride hard or hit hills. That still beats most scooters near this price, which tend to top out well below 936Wh. We will post our own tested range once we get a unit on our standard loop.

Space Lite vs Teverun’s Fighter Line

Here is where the Space Lite fits in the lineup. It is the commuter that sits well below Teverun’s performance Fighter scooters. The Fighters are dual-motor, hydraulic-brake, high-speed machines that cost two to four times as much. The Space Lite trades all of that speed and stopping power for a low price and a surprisingly big battery. If you are cross-shopping inside the brand, the question is whether you want range and value or you want raw performance.

Step up to the Teverun Blade GT II and you roughly double the speed and add full hydraulic brakes for $1,695. Go all the way to the Teverun Fighter Supreme Ultra and you are looking at a 65 mph range monster with a 4,320Wh pack. Both are also first looks in this batch. The table below shows the jump.

The unusual part is that the Space Lite carries a 936Wh pack at $849 while the far pricier Fighters carry more speed and hardware. You are not buying a slow version of a Fighter. You are buying a different tool: maximum battery for the money, with commuter-grade speed and brakes.

Who Should Buy It

First-look verdict

On paper, the Space Lite is one of the better battery-per-dollar commuters you can buy right now. A roughly 936Wh pack at $849 is genuinely rare, and Teverun rounds it out with real suspension, a full lighting kit, and app features that budget scooters usually skip. The catches are honest ones: mechanical brakes instead of hydraulic, a 28 mph cap, and a 66 lb curb weight that makes the “lightweight, portable” pitch a stretch. Early third-party coverage has been mixed too. RK9 Rides opened its YouTube take with “I really wanted to like this scooter,” which tells you the value story does not fully erase the compromises. There is no full independent written test of the Space Lite yet, so we are treating this as a first look. If you want maximum range for the money and can live with the weight, it belongs on your shortlist. We will update this review with tested figures once we get a unit in.
